Plant and Food

I am going to have to make many blogs or put experiences together as we have just done so much since being here.  The honest to God truth is that both of us were super excited to see Jimmy and Jess but not overly excited about Seoul.  We were wrong and we love it.  We have spent the days hiking, exploring mountains and rivers and then Jimmy and Jess have taken us  at night to see the city.  Last night after our big huge river walk it was all about food and exploration.
Lunch noodle soup, great for Luis, not so good for me.  I thought at this point I would have trouble eating the entire time, until..
dinner and our trip to 'Plant', the best vegan restaurant ever.  I had the best spaghetti and meatballs and everyone was jealous.  It was so super yummy and I just want to go back.

Then a walk around the super cute streets and a stop in a small bar for a drink.

We had asuch a nice evening and are just loving our trip!

Andes

I am definitely not a city person, I love travelling to new places but much prefer venturing into the country side over the big cities of a new place.  However, I do love my friends and if they live in a big city then that is where I will go.  And every time I do go I have a great time city or no city.  Jimmy and Jessica live on the out skirts of Seoul and therefore have mountain trails and river walks to keep us happy and active.  They also have a fabulous dog, Andes, who is equally going to enjoy our visit with all the extra walks.  Today we took Andes on a 12km river walk into the city and back.  The weather is perfect, warm, sunny and all the leaves are beginning to change.  A great day and now we are very ready for our dinner in the city.

Last night Andes joined us for some cards, the bonding began.

A lovely adventure and now I cannot tell you how excited I am for my Plant Vegan dinner!

Seoul, South Korea

What a busy time this half term has been, I can't believe I didn't even blog after the birthday.  I finished up a very busy week by welcoming and showing around our new pet setter, Sue.  We left Lola in her very capable hands yesterday morning and started our journey to Seoul.  We arrived late last night and have woken up to a lovely morning.  We have already done a beautiful hour hike in the mountains and are now getting ready to head to the city.

We have been so excited to see Jimmy and Jessica, it i not often that I would travel to a a city for a holiday, let alone a cold city, but that is how much I love them.

Until Next Year

The birthday is now over!  I think Luis had a wonderful birthday, he certainly had a lot of loved ones around him and got spoilt rotten.  We celebrated last night with our best friends on the island at Luis's favourite Thai restaurant.  I think everyone had a great time and most importantly I am quite sure that Luis did.

He got so many lovely gifts, Lizzie and Alastair (besties missing from dinner)  came with the kids before we went to dinner with lovely hand made cards and a vegan cook book.  I can't wait until he uses this gift!

We even had a vegan cake, that was delicious!  The birthday celebrations are now complete until next year.

Happy Happy Birthday Amor

A year ago today we were so excited to be celebrating a birthday, thought we had a baby on the way and were still positive my father would some how survive an unsurvivable cancer.   Birthdays are a time of reflection, looking at the year just gone and making plans for the one ahead.  And today I cannot help doing the same, even when it is not my birthday.  A year onwards, I feel stronger, happier and am looking forward to what the future will bring and this is entirely down to my husband.   He has been a rock of strength to me, through what was also a very difficult time for him.  He came back to school this year and has made me prouder and prouder every day.  He has worked hard not only at boarding, but again at his tutoring and also taking care of himself.  He now not only out exercises me but also eats healthier than I do, both things that are not easy to do.  I am excited and looking forward to what the future brings and would like to wish my handsome husband the best birthday yet.  Thank you for all that you do and all that you are.
Have the best day ever!

Birth Week Saturday

We had a lovely spontaneous birthday Saturday.  For once I did not plan our Saturday and decided just to see where the day lead us.  It lead us out to a bubbly breakfast and then on to another beach for some more fun.

We had a great day out.  A very successful birth week Saturday i would say.

It Begins...

It has begun, after hearing about it for two months, a little earlier than expected but birth week is here (although I believe it will last more than a week).  You would be pushed to find someone (adult or child) that gets more excited about their birthday or celebrates for so long.  But I love celebrating and I love Luis so it is not a problem.  Last night the celebrations kicked off a few days early as we went to dinner and well a cake with a candle came out.
I missed the blue denim memo.
We played our favourite table game, Emma won, I sulked.

I can't wait for my birthday, this year I am having loads of celebrations!
