Lola's Sweet 16

 Lola Cola is 16!! And she has had another year full of adventures.  She has become the pickiest eater ever and is even more stubborn than she was before.  But she has earned that right and I will continue to try and make her food that she loves and give into her unique ways.  We celebrated with food and cake at a local restaurant.  Sebastian was super duper excited.

I love this little lady and cannot wait to celebrate many more.

Sinead's Family Night

Sinead had her family here for the last few weeks.  Her brother, his wife, and their daughter.  We really wanted to have them over but it has been so crazy here as I have had a job interview every day for the past week. Yep, we are leaving for a new adventure next school year.  More about that another post.  We just got them over one day before (Thursday) they returned home and we tried to make a special night. We also celebrated Shea's birthday as we missed her party that week.

Student of the Month

 Yipppee! Sebastian was student of the month for October.  I mean, I was a little shocked he did not get September but I think it would have been too obvious.  Better to give it to him second.

He does not look overly impressed but we were super excited, as was Elmo.  Today also marked a big day as we handed in his first project.  It was funny as it was due in last week and he (I) did not have time to finish it.  I totally got told off, and given an extension.  I wanted to point out that he is only 2, but I do love the school so decided not to ruffle feathers. I think we did ruin his chance at back to back student of the month now though.

He strutted down the path excited to show his teacher.  I think they were impressed with the borders he managed to put around the photos.  Wait till the next one is due, when hopefully I am less busy!

October Wine Night

You know I am busy when I forget to post about October Wine Club from last week!  I could not believe I missed this post.   Wine Club is going from strength to strength, our numbers are huge and our nights creative.  Megan hosted a fantastic Wine Night, with Pink being the theme for Breast Cancer Month.  She played a couple games, the best one being designing our own wine and label.  My team came last place, but that was because we made it fun and everyone else's was beautiful (but boring!).

Another great night. The next one is at mine again, where we will have a guest chef flying over from the UK to cook for us.

 

Coconut Gathering

This is one of Sebastian's favourite activities.  He loves when Dad goes to get the ladder and is even more excited once the machete comes out. I am not sure he loves the water as much as he loves getting it but it is super sweet.

Slightly more worrying is his lack of fear.  I am sure any day now he will want to go up to the top of the tree.  Oh and notice I got one down as well.

 

North Coast Adventure and Meghan's

 Saturday morning Bruce took us on an adventure to the North Coast.  We have never been there before mainly as there is no beach.  During Dorain this part of the island was under 30 feet of water.  That is just crazy!

We had a lovely morning and picnic. We are hoping to go back and do some kayaking in that area.

Then we headed to Megan and Chris's fora. delicious Mexican meal.  A great weekend before we all head back to school on Monday.

Halloween and Friday Fun

 Friday was Sebastian's school Halloween party and he went as Marshall from Paw Patrol.  I found a washed-up construction hat, got some old material, spray paint, and some glue and he was ready to go.

After school it was time for the adult party.  We headed over to Sinead's for some dinner and cocktails.  As always a great night.
