The Fab Five

At our wedding my father spoke about my three different families (besides the immediate), my Bajan family, the Hopkins and the Fab Five.  This group of ladies are so important to me and I feel so lucky to have them in my life.  We have always been there for each other and there are so many times in my life where they have been there to support me. I am so happy that Sebastian has gotten to meet all of them and spend time with their children.  Yesterday Mandy had them all over here (except Tracy who could not make it) and it was wonderful.  All the children play so well together and everyone just had a great time.

Another special evening together.  I feel so lucky.

Chudleigh's Apple Farm

I have super fond memories of Chudleigh's, I actually have so few memories of childhood and remember a day here so clearly.  So when Amy suggested a day here with the kids I was totally up for it.  Friday afternoon after a morning at the splash pad down the road from Mandy's house we headed there.

Such a special day out.  Sebastian was so super excited, he loved all of it but especially the animals, tractor ride and the super slides.

The Great White North

Only last week I realised that Canada was finally opening up to fully vaccinated Canadians and their children.  Prior to August 9th everyone had to quarantine in a hotel and then a home for two weeks.  I had not been to Canada for four years and really wanted to take Sebastian to meet his Canadian family.   We actually do not have too many blood relatives but he does have a huge amount of people I consider family here.  Luis was so super supportive of us coming and even though it felt crazy we booked to come for a week very last minute.  It was not so easy getting everything together and Canadian immigration was a nightmare but it was so worth it.

Sebastian was brilliant.  He wore a mask the entire time and was super well behave in the terrible immigration queue.

Three hours of total madness
So thankful for this lady, Tracy, who waited hours at the airport for us.
Sebastian getting to know some of the fabulous five children.  I am so happy to be here!

Bye Bye Dodo

Dodo (as Sebastian calls Cody) left Wednesday morning.  We all had such a wonderful time with him and he will certainly be missed.  His last day was jam packed, we went to a pace called Paradise Cove for some snorkeling and then went to the Anderson's for dinner.  It was a a great way to end a wonderful vacation.

I had very little time to miss him on Wednesday as I was getting ready to leave on a big adventure with Sebastian on Thursday.

Sunday Funday

The best day of the week is Sunday, I just love a Sunday Funday.  Everyone was nervous that it was going to storm in the afternoon due to some dark clouds and sounds of thunder.  But I assured them that we were going to be okay.  And it was more than okay, it was stunning day.

Finishing the night off with food and games.  Perfect Day.

Delicious Food and the Sand Bar

My favourite place to eat is for sure Sinead Anderson's house.   Her food is always fantastic and the company even better.  And the best part is there is not a huge bill at the end (like all other places here), in fact there is no bill!  We went there Friday night for dinner and like always had a wonderful evening.

Leaving, everyone happy after a grand evening.

Saturday was boiling and we just chilled around the house during the day.

Saturday night we meet our crew down the beach at our local bar.  Another killer night.
