Family Days

I will forever be thankful for the extended time I have been able to have off with Sebastian.  It does not hurt that I have been able to have it in one of the most beautiful places either.  Not everyday do we take full advantage of what is on our doorstep but today we sure did.

Started out with our daily morning walk
And then we headed to the beach.

I am not really sure why we do not do this most days and really must start taking advantage of the beach. He loves being in the water and outside in the fresh air.

Best Babies and Birthday

What a lovely Saturday. Sebastian and myself started the day off with the baby group and Sebastian's best friends.  I love this group so much and I really do not where I would be now without them.  I just did not realise that babies have so much personality right from birth and I love seeing these ones all interact with their different ways. I know he is too little to remember but I think these friendships are super valuable to him now.
 Best friends!
I then came home and started preparing a special dinner for a special lady.  We missed Ruth's birthday as it is close to Christmas and I really wanted to mark it for her.  So we had a little dinner in her honour last night.

A great night, average food and fabulous friends!  A wonderful Saturday.

Sebastian's First Food

Today was a pretty exciting day, Sebastian tried his first food.  For weeks he has been watching us and dying to eat everything.  I wanted to try and last till he was six months but it was clear he was more than ready.  So this morning we were very excited to introduce him to mushed bananas...

Unfortunately we took a video that will not upload of this moment and his excitement was ridiculous.  The great disappoint came after he had tried the banana.

He was not a fan, definitely preferred the taste of his bib. But it felt like a big step none the less, our boy is eating (well kinda!).

The Other Side

It only took us about six visits to Ko Lanta to finally decide we must go see something else and drove over to the East Coast.  I must say we were a little concerned we would find that we had been missing out on something magical for years and were happy to discover that South West Lanta particularly the Last Beach was still our favourite.

We got everyone up from restful times on the beach to make the trek over.

Lola, as always, a keen co pilot.

And this was the East, a small town and some different beaches.  To be fair we did not explore to much as we wanted to get back to our spot.

Getting in a quick game of cards while the kids napped before a very exciting event.

Sebastian's first time in the sea!  It was a little chilly but he took to it right away, drank some salt water and swam around a little.
I think he might end up quite the little swimmer (and of course it is okay if he does not as well).  Yesterday was our last day and we headed out early this morning to be back in time for tutoring and the end of a very long adventure filled holiday.

Back to Lanta

No holiday is quite complete without a trip to Ko Lanta, by far our favourite spot in Thailand.  We were not here so long ago and it just shows us how much Sebastian has grown as everyone notices the difference. We just love everything about this beach, and the South of the island. We can't tell you too much about the North of the island or the East side as we can never bring our selves to leave The Last Beach.
Sebastian back in his car seat...
 Just arrived
 Finally starting my Spanish lessons
 Playing peek a boo

Don't have to tell you why we love it here so much.

Sebastian just loves the beach! Which is super lucky!!

Happy 2020

Happy 2020! We had a great final day of 2019 we spent the day with Aloni, Lorelei, Morgan and Aloni's mum and the evening with a few other friends.

They are so cute together! Sebastian just rolled onto her and chilled out for a while.
The making of the puppet to burn at midnight.  An Ecuadorian tradition
Lola looking excited for another year

 We decided to burn Boris

A lovely evening and great start to the year!
