Marine National Park

Our last full day on the island we did a day trip to the Marine National Park a couple of hours away by boat.  It was breath taking, the snorkelling, the beaches, the Emerald Lake, all of it.  What a great way to end our trip to this little bit of paradise.
Morning breakfast on the way there
Lose at games the night before meant the men were on drink duty.

It was such a beautiful day out.  This whole holiday I have spent more time in the water then probably the last ten years.  The water temperature was 38 degrees (we bought a thermometer), and not even at its warmest spots.  It was quite remarkable.  I just loved this island, hopefully we will make it back before we leave Thailand, it is just our list of amazing places to see is just too long and always seems to be growing!

Happy 2562!

Today starts the beginning of the Thai New year celebrations, Songkran. This year instead of partying in the streets with everyone else we explored some more beaches and watched some of the celebrations safely from the car.  Oh how my life has changed!!!
Either way another great day of sun, beaches and delicious food (my belly is definitely half baby and half food from this holiday at this point).

Just a few pictures of our delicious vegan food.  I know not everyone will become vegan but most people I know would probably agree that they should at least eat less meat.  I promise you that it would be easy for anyone to have a meat free happy holiday here.

 Some more beaches.

Watching some of the throwing water celebrations from the safety of the car.  I am so joining in next year1

Poor Jen is having to suffer through us eating some pretty great meals while her tummy gets better with a little toast.

Happy Happy New Year Thailand!

More Beaches...

Another day, another beautiful beach.

Started the day at this great seaside restaurant bar on the secret beach and then moved down South to the full moon party beach.
I don't know how I did not take more pictures of this party beach (not during day judging by emptiness), it was spectacular.  It totally reminded me of Barbados and the water was fabulous.
Another stunning sunset.
Meanwhile back in Phuket Lola is having a wonderful time with the pet sitters.  I think she loves when we go away and she gets spoilt rotten.  Lucky lady.

Oh Thailand!

Every new place I go I am taken aback of just how beautiful Thailand is.  I am always surprised to see the next place be more stunning than the last.  This island is amazing.  What a day we had exploring some of the near by beaches and eating at some of the best restaurants well I have probably ever eaten in.

I can't express how breathe taking the secret beach is.  It is just the next bay over and sure I will have many more pictures tomorrow.

We travelled up North of the island, just every where we looked and stopped was jaw dropping and empty.
Finishing at Karma Kafe, best flavours ever.  Just amazing food.
