Mother's Day

The toughest job I have ever had for sure.  I underestimated just how tough. Life-altering for sure. Sebastian is strong-willed, determined, and can be quite the handful.  But I love him.  However, I do think we should get more than one day a year!

To celebrate we went to the Grand Lucayan, and bought an All-Inclusive day pass with Tanya et al and Jane.  I never have high expectations for food here but it was a great day.  Fodd was great, the service fantastic and the spot is just beautiful.  Mother's Day is always a little tricky too, my Mum died around this day.  Auntie Jilian died on this day, Uncle Tono the day after.  Lots of people missed.

Lovely day.

BBQ at Matt's

Matt is staying at my bosses Airbandb and it is a fabulous spot. Friday he had a small BBQ, a great way to kick off the weekend.  It does feel weird to be invited to his place with all his island friends (who happen to be mine as well), it feels like Scott and Babs or some other Bruton folk might just walk in any minute.

A great kickoff to the weekend and a spectacular evening.

The Return of Matt Watson

The one the only, Matt Watson has returned for a two week holiday.  It is safe to say he loves Grand Bahama.  He stayed with us the first few days and has now moved into my bosses Airbnb (we did not fall out, this was always the plan!).

Night one - Shea and Fred came over for dinner

Night two - Sand Bar with all his new friends

And these are just some cute after school shots of Sebastian and Alex.  Love them!

Barbary Bay

Sunday was adventure day!  We have not done much around the island lately and we only have seven weeks left.  We went to one of the most beautiful and totally deserted beaches, Barbary Bay.  The only small hiccup was when the shark swam up to Tanya and Alex meters from the shore.  Good news is it was not hungry and everyone kept all their limbs.

A beautiful day.

Bye Bye Bruce Dinner

On Saturday night we hosted a dinner for Bruce.  He has had quite the impact on our small school community and everyone will miss him.  It is actually only the second time I have allowed meat at one of our dinner parties, the first being his 70th birthday party.

A fabulous night.

Start to Bruce Weekend

This is Bruce's last weekend in Freeport, I imagine till we leave.  Therefore, it is Bruce weekend and we started it off by dragging him out to Banana Bay for dinner.

We had a nice meal with Jane from school and Tanya, Claude and Alex before heading back to our hosue for games.

A great start to a Bruce weekend!
