It was almost too good to believe but Sunday was actually a nicer day then Saturday. It was so beautiful. We had made plans with Sebastian's best and only friends family. We had to cancel a few times due to weather so it was great to finally see them. Sebastian and Axel are not totally convinced about their life long friendship but we are working on it.
All about our past adventures in and around Phuket Thailand and our newest in Grand Bahama, The Bahamas with the newest member of our family, Sebastian :)

Saturday Beach Adventures
Finally a beautiful Saturday! And it was beyond beautiful. There is literally nothing to do here when it is rainy but when the sun shines it is definitely a different place. Friday night we had pub Friday, a great way to start the weekend, and Saturday morning we were ready to hit the beaches. They are now open all day long so we did not have to rush our day.
Basically, our beach time is now searching for whale pooh. Apparently, the Bahamas is a big exported and it makes perfume. A small rock can go for $10 000. Our neighbours have found three. No pooh yet, but sure it is a matter of time!

Lola is 15
I cannot believe Lola is 15, it is quite amazing. We have had so many wonderful adventures together, and have any more to come. She has lived with me in five countries in three different continents and I have lost track of how many countries she has visited. She knows all my secrets and she is my bestest friend in the world. The last few weeks have been hard on her. We have been back and forth with the vet but now seeing some headway and I think she is recovering.
Birthday breakfast in her new bowlNew birthday relaxing bed
Out for her birthday meal
But first a run on the beach
Cuddling my kiddos
Her cakeMy very favourite photo. I love this picture. Wishing Lola Cola the best birth weekend and here is to the next 15 years together.

Tropical Storm Eta
Tropical Storm Eta started to effect us Saturday morning and she is still lurking around today. Nothing like Saturday and Sunday though which was pouring rain and high winds for both days. She could have come any other day but of course chose the weekend. By Sunday Sebastian was crawling up the walls, Lola was super depressed and we were exhausted. However, we have to eat and I thought it was the perfect weather for a Sunday roast. Our neighbour Bruce came to join us and we had a hearty Sunday meal to try and get rid of our rainy weekend blues.
Fingers crossed for some dry weather next weekend. There is absolutely nothing to do here if raining.

Pub Friday
Another long week complete. We had a cold front here in Grand Bahama and all three of us got a little sick. It is so hard to be regular sick now without being scared you have Covoid but I am fairly confident it was just the cold weather that got us (all feeling better now). Lola also got very sick and ended up in doggie hospital. I am pretty confident that it is the vet's fault in the first place, but that is another story. She came home yesterday, I would say she looks worse than when she went in. But we will nurse her back to health. By the end of this long week, we were more than ready for our pub Friday (as we do not want to go out, pub Friday is at our house). Oh, I should also mention how ready I was based on this nail-biting US election that has made me addicted to news channels, checking every five minutes to read a headline that says 'Biden Win, Trump out'. Five days later and this still has not happened, hopefully soon so I can detox off my phone.
A few pictures of Sebastian throughout the week
A great pub night. Curfew is at 8pm, so an early one as well which we quite enjoy. A tropical storm hitting this weekend so looks like a long weekend in doors.

Xanadu Beach
As the world braces for a long winter and begins Covid shutdowns again I feel very thankful for the beaches we have around us. We have now been put under an 8pm curfew and I am under no illusion that we will escape a lockdown but I intend to enjoy it while we can.
A fantastic Sunday morning on a spectacular beach. It was hot, the sun was shining and the beach was empty.
Followed by an evening with our favourite neighbour Bruce.
Then we woke up to a cold Monday. Well cold for me for sure. And then has ended up in hospital today with liver and kidney problems. Basically not a great start to the week. Let's just hope Biden wins a very big victory and this week turns around.
