Beach and Games

It has been a very busy few days trying to pack in what Phuket has to offer and catching up with the Saunders family.  Yesterday we went to one of our favourite beaches, the Secret Beach, which is not a secret at all anymore but still as beautiful.

 They loved this beach, it is proper tropical paradise and I think what they pictured when they thought about Phuket.

 We took them to our favourite Thai Vegetarian restaurant, I was pretty shocked about how much food we put away here.  I guess the beach can be tiring and we needed refueling for the next adventures of the day.

And another night of games.  It is so great to have them here, particularly yesterday as it was my Dad's birthday.  It was so nice to be with people who knew and loved him, Mandy knew my Dad for 35 years and well it was just lovely to have her here with me yesterday to honour his special day.

Panwa and Phuket Town

For future reference one should check that bars are still open on a Buddha day before planning a pub crawl.  Luckily we are so super fun that bars being closed cannot stop us.  We had a great supper in Phuket Town, and then a nice walk around the town.

Sunday we had brunch at Cape Panwa and I failed on pictures.  But still a great day!

Mandy Bosch and Family

She goes by Amanda Saunders now but she will forever be Mandy Bosch to me.  The women I have known that longest, that knows far too much about me is finally here to visit me in Phuket! Her and Brad (her husband) and two kiddies arrived late yesterday afternoon and it has been fun and games ever since.  Friday night market, beach day and now relaxing by the pool.  I am so happy one of the Fabulous Five made it here before we head off to our next destination.

Lucinda

What a special treat getting to see Lucinda here in Phuket!  Lucinda is a great friend from Basel and in fact the first one to meet Sebastian.  She and a group of friends are here for a few days as part of their Thailand adventure.  I was super happy to be able to meet them for a lovely long lunch.

It was a super nice catch, not long enough but I will take what I can get!  I could not stay too long as later that day my oldest friend, Mandy Bosch and family were flying in!  What a great start to a weekend!

Oh Lola

Me and Lola were the start of this blog and I have been neglecting this fact recently.   I said when Sebastian was born that Lola was just as important,  loved and certainly not replaced.  But looking on my recent posts she is not coming up so often. I would like to assure everyone that she is still my girl, and I try to remind her of this as much as I can but sometimes it is hard with a baby.  Tonight we all went out for a family beach walk and dinner.  Sebastian was too tired to go back in the push chair after dinner, so I carried him.  Luis said Lola would be happy in his chair, I did not think she would, but oh boy did she love it.  Lola is still my Lola, a funny, unique wonderful dog who I must spend a little more time spoiling!

She just cracks me up, it was not a one minute walk away and she was super happy to be in it.  She absolutely looked pleased as punch to be in the chair. I love that little lady loads!

Half Birthday Party

I cannot believe it took me this long to have a Sebastian party!  I might do them quarterly now, I just love organising things like this, and I wish I had took more pictures of all the decorations and things I had.  We were so happy to have a half birthday for Sebastian and his best friend Lorelei, who is only a few days older than him.  It was a frog themed party in honour of his grandmother, me and also he seems to adore frogs too (his favourite book by far is 'The Great Big Bullfrog').
