Gotta Love a Lawson

Another weekend, another goodbye party.  From the minute I met the Lawson's during our first week here I knew we would be great friends.  Over the years we have gotten closer over vegan club and our disco nights.  I adore their kiddos and will miss them terribly next year.  Last night was their last Phuket vegan club, the theme was Disco Night Mexican Fiesta.  The meal was average, nothing seemed to go to plan but I think that bugged me more than anyone else.

Two more weeks today until I jet off back to the UK (all being well), so have to spend as much time as possible with these wonderful people.

Koh Yao Noi Day 2

Woke up to a beautiful morning and made the most of our little mini break. I just love this place!!

We left just in time as the clouds rolled in and the heavens opened.  A great two days and the best work week ever!

Koh Yao Noi Day 1

Not a big week of work for me, Monday was a public holiday and then Wednesday and Thursday I had two more holiday days.  We decided to go for the night to a nearby island called Koh Yao Noi, it has been recommended since we arrived and we thought it was high time we checked it out.  I cannot believe it took us three years to discover that our favourite island thus far was so close (45 minutes from our door to the island including boat)!  For years we have been travelling hours to find what was right on our doorstep the whole time.  The views are so spectacular it is amazing!

We stayed in this super lovely hotel called Cape Kudu.  The great thing about the low season is you can stay in these fabulous places for about 75% off the regular price.  The weather can be a gamble, but it is certainly a gamble worth taking.

My phone camera does not do these views justice, so people should really come and see in person.
The one let down was our horrible horrible dinner..   Like the worst I have had here, ever.
But the hotel comped it and we went to another cafe and shared a sandwich instead.
Think we might make it to this island a little more often, absolutely love it!

The Queen's Birthday

The new Queen celebrated her birthday yesterday as did the whole country with a new bank holiday.  How amazing it must be to have a whole nation celebrating with you and to mark the occasion I had a lovely day with friends and family.
I love this picture, as one I love the people in it (Richard and Sara) and two I just love Lola.  Most dogs would be happy lying on the floor but not my pup, she just jumps right up on the next available seat and joins right in.
Baby bump at 31 weeks.  I definitely don't have many pictures, mainly as I am still super nervous all the time.  But it was nice to capture this one yesterday.
I ended the day with my L's and putting together baby's crib.  A second successful IKEA build with no left over items.  The room is coming together nicely, it is still so foreign to me that in a few months there will be a baby occupying it.

Great Weekend

I can't remember the last time I have laughed so much.  We had a great evening of 'Amanda's game', I learnt so much (somethings I wish I could forget!) and really just had a great evening.  We woke up Sunday to another beautiful day and with a late check out of 4 we had another whole day of fun.

 Possibly the best breakie ever

An amazing weekend and the best news is that Monday is a holiday!  With a new King and Queen it means two new holidays were introduced to the Thai calendar, both their birthdays.  A great last minute surprise!

Kim and Sean's Farewell

Before we know it the academic year will be finished and we will be rushing off to whatever exciting plans we have made for the summer.  On one hand we are counting the days but on the other it is quite sad as we say goodbye to some people who are moving on to different places after the summer.  And this year there are quite a few people that I will be super sad not to see back here in August and Kim and Sean are definitely two of them.  Therefore to mark the occasion and celebrate the three years we spent together I organised a farewell games weekend in Nai Harn (South of the island).
Kim really wanted a games weekend so I decorated the house with picture such as these.  Trying to create a little atmosphere.

A lovely pool villa for the nine of us to celebrate.
 Getting bigger!

First game of the weekend, a little Cards Against Humanity

Flossing

I forgot how much I love making a pub quiz, next year I am back at it!

 Lovely Ladies
And the fabulous couple who are moving onto bigger and better things in Japan next school year.  A great night and looking forward to another day here tomorrow and the next three weeks with them. Super sad to see them go, but so happy for them and even happier we have a place to stay when we go to Japan ;)!!
